To update signers on the Association bank accounts
- File an amended annual report with the Washington Secretary of State.
- Sign into https://www.sos.wa.gov/ Corporations & Charities with username wwvar8725 and password 2003Sorento
- Search for UBI 601141776 and choose WWVAR
- On the left, choose Amended Annual Report.
- It will probably tell you this can’t be filed online, so follow the link to the form; save the PDF on your desktop and fill it out. Change my name to yours under Governors.
- Print it and write a check for $110 to Secretary of State.
- Mail form.
- In two weeks or so you’ll be notified that the amended annual report is received.
- Now bring to banks a copy of Board meeting minutes, signed by the treasurer, saying: “Board resolved to remove Philip Thompson as a signer on all bank accounts and to add [your name] as a signer on all accounts.”
- You will need to fill out a signature card. Depending on the bank, some or all board members may be required to fill out signature cards. You may need the treasurer with you when you go. This could require multiple visits to banks:
- Baker Boyer Bank
- Banner Bank
- Umpqua Bank
- Community Bank
- Finally, once you are a signer at Banner Bank, apply for a corporate credit card.
- Umpqua Bank has not been satisfactory
- Baker Boyer is our main local bank but does not offer a corporate card
- After the Banner Bank card is issued, cancel the credit card at Umpqua Bank.
